The Whisper Man: A Novel

After his wife's sudden death, Tom Kennedy moves with his young son Jake to Featherbank, hoping a fresh start will help them both heal. However, the town carries a dark history: twenty years earlier, a serial killer known as "The Whisper Man" abducted and murdered five residents by luring victims out by whispering at their windows. The killer, Frank Carter, was eventually caught. Shortly after Tom and Jake settle in, a young boy disappears under circumstances that echo Frank Carter's crimes, raising suspicions that he may have had an accomplice. Detectives Amanda Beck and Pete Willis work to find the missing boy, with Pete confronting his former nemesis in prison. Meanwhile, Jake begins behaving strangely and hears whispering at his own window.
