About this book

Monsters appear on the lawn, and each person receives an interface offering a choice of supernatural abilities. Meghan's husband is away on business, leaving her to protect her children alone. She discovers her toddler has chosen to give her stuffed turtle the ability to come alive, and learns that everyone on Earth, regardless of age, must participate in the competition. Meghan must teach her children to survive and fight while learning to trust them to stand on their own. This novel marks the beginning of Ampersand's Apocalypse Parenting series.
