Wilda Firestone, a retired First Nations Temporal Agent, runs a time tourism costume shop and prefers spending her days watching cooking shows. Her quiet life changes when a dying explorer crashes into her store, unleashing a plague that kills numerous time travelers. Because of her personal history, Wilda has some immunity to the sickness. Reluctantly returning to active duty as a temporal agent, Wilda investigates the explorer's death by retracing his steps through 14th century Mali, 12th century Scotland, and other time periods. Her search for answers reveals a malevolent force responsible for destroying an entire village in a scene of extreme violence. Wilda must solve the time mystery and eliminate the source of the plague before she also falls victim to it. This is the first book in the Toronto Time Agents science fiction series.
