Teenagers from different time periods are brought to the twenty-fourth century to undertake an interstellar rescue mission in this science fiction series debut. In the year 2345, humanity has built a utopia without war, disease, or crime. However, Earth faces a critical crisis that adults cannot resolve. A group of teenagers volunteer to help through Operation Hourglass, an initiative that assembles a team of young people from across history, each selected for their skills and ability to handle emergencies. The team includes a high-school basketball star and a small-town brainiac from the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, a tenth-century Viking, and a young thief from nineteenth-century London. Together, they must rescue a human star settlement from mysterious three-eyed aliens. Beyond surviving the mission itself, they face the challenge of returning to their own time periods.
