About this book

A true story involving three wealthy families connected by marriage and murder. The first victims discovered were a millionaire widow and her daughter found dead in their Louisville, Kentucky home. Months later, another wealthy widow, her son, and daughter-in-law were found killed in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Police initially suspected professional criminals behind the gangland-style killings that disrupted two affluent southern communities. Investigation eventually focused on family connections: the Sharps, the Newsoms, and the Lynches. The link between the families was Susie Sharp Newsom Lynch, a young mother from an aristocratic background. Suspicion also fell on her first cousin and lover, Fritz Klenner, whose father was a nationally prominent doctor. Jerry Bledsoe examines the obsessive relationships, bitter custody disputes, and shocking events that resulted in nine deaths, culminating in a disturbing conclusion.
