The writer befriends the retired officer, who helps unravel the many strands of this story about a community confronting its shames and legacies. Blaze Me a Sun marks the American debut of Christoffer Carlsson, the youngest winner of the Best Swedish Crime Novel of the Year award, whose past winners include Stieg Larsson and Henning Mankell.
