She managed to leverage the book sale for a profit and secure an eight-week freelance position restoring books at the Dartmouth library in her hometown of New Hampshire. However, the English Literary professor who hired her is Adam, her ex-boyfriend from seven years ago—her first love, first kiss, and first everything. He has since become the kind of person she reads about in romance novels. The protagonist must now navigate reconnecting with him while working on her restoration project.
