About this book

Gideon Oliver arrives in Egypt to appear in a documentary film, expecting a relaxing week and a Nile cruise with his wife, Julie. His plans change when he discovers an ancient skeleton in a garbage dump. Examining the bones, he uncovers a tantalizing secret, and shortly after, a famous Egyptologist is killed. As a forensic anthropologist, Gideon launches an investigation that takes him through Cairo's back alleys and bazaars, and into the tombs of the Valley of the Kings. As he pieces together the puzzle, he discovers that the traits of the killer—greed without guilt, lies without conscience, and murder without remorse—are the same in the modern world as they were in the time of the pyramids. This is the eighth book in the Gideon Oliver Mysteries series and can be read independently.
