Dawson Scott is a journalist recently returned from Afghanistan, where he suffered battle fatigue that now affects his personal life. As Dawson investigates, he develops feelings for Wesson's ex-wife, Amelia, and becomes protective of her two young sons. The investigation takes a dramatic turn when Amelia's nanny is found dead, and Dawson becomes the prime suspect.
