About this book

John Charming is an ex-knight turned monster hunter. In Alaska, he encounters a locked house containing multiple bodies and a blood-covered teacup poodle. A dead woman's voice speaks through a car radio, and the last surviving descendant of one of Charming's former friends is being hunted by nightmare hounds. This short story takes place within Elliott James's Pax Arcana world. The collection includes other Pax Arcana short fiction: "Charmed I'm Sure," "Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls," "Pushing Luck," "Surreal Estate," "Bulls Rush In," and "Talking Dirty."
