About this book

LASD detectives Eve Ronin and Duncan Pavone begin investigating the case, but the sheriff publicly reveals evidence linking the crime to LA's mayor. Eve and Duncan realize the allegation stems from corruption within the sheriff's office—corruption they helped conceal years earlier. If the sheriff is exposed, they will be too. As Eve grapples with this moral crisis, a helicopter crashes on the hillside below her Calabasas home. The crash is not coincidental. Among the wreckage and dead passengers, Eve discovers shocking connections to her own past that threaten her life and force her into a dangerous confrontation.
