About this book

Robin is selected as one of four winners of an Image magazine summer internship in New York City. She looks forward to working at the popular teen magazine while enjoying shopping, dining out, and city life. Her plans shift when she learns her cousin Annie also won an internship spot. The cousins, once close but now compared constantly by their mothers, agree to focus on being themselves and having a good summer. Robin and Annie move into a hotel with their roommates Ashley and Torey. The four girls begin their internship responsibilities while pursuing the social activities and makeovers they've dreamed about. As their friendships deepen, they discover that public-facing work is more challenging than expected. With only one intern able to be selected for the cover of a special Image issue, Robin must navigate whether her vision of a perfect summer can withstand reality.
