Kurt Austin, a hero in the NUMA Files series, is injured while rescuing passengers and crew from a sinking yacht. Unable to trust either version of his recollection, Kurt sets out to uncover the truth. His investigation leads him into a world of state-sponsored cybercrime, where he discovers a pattern of suspicious accidents, vanishing scientists, and human trafficking operations. Kurt must confront the sinister organization orchestrating this conspiracy, pursuing his quest across multiple locations including Morocco, North Korea, and Madagascar's rugged coasts. The investigation takes him in directions he cannot anticipate.
