About this book

This is R.D. Shepard's third poetry collection, dedicated to his father, who passed away in 2014. The collection contains twenty-one poems written during Shepard's grieving process as he worked to understand the trauma symptoms resulting from losing his father at age seventeen. Shepard has committed to being openly candid about his mental illness symptoms as a means of reducing stigma around mental health conditions and to assist others experiencing similar symptoms in coping with the social shame associated with that stigma.
