A time travel novel set in Regency England and 21st century Colorado. Nadine Finley is a Scribe Guardian from the future tasked with preventing Jane Austen from marrying Captain Charles Gordon. If Jane marries him, she will never reach London to publish her first book, and will never revise the manuscript that becomes Pride and Prejudice. Nadine's mission becomes complicated when Xander Nouri, a tech millionaire and former romantic interest, unexpectedly follows her to 1811. Xander, who lives by reason and data, is bewildered by Nadine's appearance in period clothing and her claims of time travel. The two share a romantic history from three days in Las Vegas, where their connection ended badly. As sparks reignite between Nadine and Xander, Jane Austen and Captain Gordon meet again and begin developing a romance. Xander also makes the quantum leap to Regency England, becoming an unlikely fish-out-of-water in that era. Nadine must balance her mission to prevent Jane's marriage with her own complicated feelings, while literary history hangs in the balance.
