Left Field Love

Lennon Matthews counts down to the end of senior year, exhausted by the attention and whispers that follow her and the weight of maintaining her grades alongside other responsibilities. She particularly wants to avoid Caleb Winters, the town's golden boy and star pitcher, who refuses to let her remain invisible despite her efforts. Caleb's life appears perfect but conceals family fractures and constant pressure. He never wanted to move to Landry, Kentucky, a small horse-racing town, and has no say in the matter. He is interested in Lennon, but she stubbornly refuses to engage with him. When Caleb's persistence finally shifts Lennon's view of him, she remains convinced their lives are too different for anything lasting. Caleb's professional baseball aspirations pull him toward leaving Landry, while Lennon is tied to the town by caring for her remaining family and managing their farm. As graduation approaches, Lennon has long wanted him gone—yet she becomes the reason he wants to stay. Both must decide what they are willing to sacrifice for themselves and each other.
