Luxe: A Novel

Bleu Montclair grows up on the difficult streets of Flint, Michigan, determined to escape her circumstances. When she receives a scholarship to UCLA, she believes she has found her way out. However, after arriving at college, her aspirations quickly unravel as she encounters numerous temptations including expensive cars, designer clothes, alcohol, and drugs—luxuries she struggles to resist. When her roommate presents an opportunity to earn substantial money quickly, Bleu pursues it without hesitation. This decision sets her on a destructive path involving violence and addiction. Her fate takes a turn when she meets Iman, a new protector who becomes central to her survival.
