About this book

Shelby Phillips returns to her hometown near Asheville, North Carolina, to temporarily manage her mother's Nimble Needle needlepoint shop while her parents take an RV vacation. She plans to stay for just one month before returning to her graphic arts career. When Shelby agrees to host a trunk show featuring local vendors, she must work with Kat Katsaros, a former classmate who now runs a needlework scissors business. Kat has become a rising entrepreneur and appears interested in taking over the Nimble Needle herself. On the morning of the event, Shelby discovers Kat's body and suspects foul play. Convinced the death was not accidental, Shelby investigates the murder using Kat's own equipment as a lead. She receives help from a new friend, a potential romantic interest, and support from her sister and the shop's regular stitchers. As Shelby pursues the culprit, she races to solve the case before her temporary return to Gwen Lake becomes something more permanent.
