Kennedy is the only woman on staff for the Windy City Warriors baseball team. After years working under a sexist lead doctor, she is determined to secure her dream job with a new team next year. She needs to maintain her professional reputation through her final season in Chicago. A chance encounter in Las Vegas with the team's shortstop, Isaiah Rhodes, upends her plans when she wakes with a ring on her left hand and fragmented memories of the night before.
