Pretty Fly for a Vampire Guy

Clay became a vampire when the Halloween Wave transformed a third of the population into monsters. He retained his twenty-year-old body but struggles with vampire abilities and fitting in at university. Academically unprepared and unable to fly competently, he finds distraction in flirting with Owen, his nerdy lab partner. Owen is attracted to vampires but initially dismisses Clay as an airheaded jock. When they care for an injured bat together, Owen discovers Clay's compassionate nature. As Owen helps Clay learn to fly, Owen realizes he is developing feelings for the vampire. A relationship between a human academic and a vampire jock threatens complications.
