Queenie

Queenie Jenkins is a twenty-five-year-old Jamaican British woman living in London who straddles two cultures without fitting neatly into either. She works at a national newspaper where she constantly compares herself to her white middle-class peers. After a messy breakup from her long-term white boyfriend, Queenie seeks comfort in questionable places, including relationships with men who occupy her thoughts but undermine her self-worth.
