The Blinds: A Novel

The Blinds is set in a dusty town in rural Texas populated by criminals whose memories have been altered and who have been given new identities and a second chance. These residents don't know whether they've committed crimes or witnessed them, but they understand that leaving the town will result in their death. For eight years, Sheriff Calvin Cooper has maintained an uneasy peace in the town. When a suicide and murder occur in quick succession, the residents revolt. Cooper, who has his own secrets to protect, must stay ahead of his new deputy's investigation and mysterious outsiders who threaten to destabilize the town.
