Dragon and Thief: Young thief and con artist Jack Morgan hides on an uninhabited planet after being falsely accused of a crime. His isolation ends when Draycos, a warrior from a reptilian race facing extinction, makes an emergency landing. The two can survive only by bonding together. Dragon and Soldier: When calm, Draycos appears as a tattoo on Jack's back. When Jack faces danger, the K'da warrior takes his true dragonlike form. The pair go undercover to investigate a mercenary organization connected to the extinction of Draycos's people, discovering Jack is not the only recruit harboring secrets. Dragon and Slave: Jack infiltrates a Brummga alien estate as a slave to gather information while enduring a brutal slave master willing to kill workers. Draycos remains his constant ally.
