About this book

Humans and dragons are at war. The dragons claim humans kidnapped their heir and are winning the conflict. To establish a truce, the dragons demand human mates. The protagonist is assigned to become a dragon's mate, ostensibly as an honor, though she suspects the real purpose is to silence her knowledge of sensitive information. She intends to use her position to gather intelligence about the dragons, particularly to identify which one destroyed her hometown. However, the dragon assigned to her—a blue-eyed, gruff individual—refuses to engage with her. Rejected by both her own people and the dragon, she finds herself trapped in the dragon kingdom. To preserve the fragile ceasefire between the two species, she must find a way to win over the dragon who wants nothing to do with her.
