The Five-Star Weekend

After her husband Matthew dies in a car accident following a heated argument, food blogger Hollis Shaw confronts the fractures in her seemingly perfect life—her strained marriage and complicated relationship with her daughter Caroline. Inspired by the concept of a "Five-Star Weekend," where one woman organizes a trip with her closest friend from each major life phase, Hollis decides to host her own gathering on Nantucket with friends from her teenage years, twenties, thirties, and midlife. The weekend brings unexpected complications. Hollis's childhood friend Tatum's husband arranges for Hollis's first love, Jack Finigan, to join them, rekindling old feelings. Tatum must navigate tensions with Dru-Ann, Hollis's friend from UNC Chapel Hill, whose career as a Chicago sports agent is threatened after her comments about a client's mental health are misinterpreted online. Brooke, a friend from Hollis's thirties, has just learned her husband is involved in an inappropriate relationship with a coworker. Gigi, a stranger who contacted Hollis through her blog, joins the group and carries hidden secrets. The Five-Star Weekend explores friendship, love, and self-discovery against the backdrop of Nantucket.
