Perfect for you if...

  • You suspect the financial system is rigged against ordinary people and want documented evidence of how it actually happened.
  • You're interested in American monetary history but frustrated by sanitised textbook accounts that gloss over power struggles.
  • You believe understanding financial architecture matters more than accepting mainstream explanations of economic crises.

Maybe not for you if...

  • You prefer economics explained through formal academic frameworks rather than narrative reconstruction and primary sources.
  • You're looking for investment advice or practical strategies to beat the system, not historical analysis.
  • You're sceptical of works that position themselves as exposing hidden conspiracies without peer review or institutional credibility.

About this book

The Secret Night on Jekyll Island examines the 1907 financial crisis and the 1910 meeting on Jekyll Island where banking figures including J.P. Morgan and the Rothschilds allegedly orchestrated the creation of the Federal Reserve. The book presents a documented account of how the Panic of 1907 was used to push the American public toward accepting a central bank. It describes how the Federal Reserve Act was structured to appear as a decentralized government agency while concentrating control of the money supply in private banking hands. The book also covers the passage of the legislation through Congress on Christmas Eve 1913 and references a late-life statement by President Woodrow Wilson. The author argues the Federal Reserve was designed to allow Wall Street to retain profits while distributing losses to the public through inflation, and that the institution functions to protect financial elites rather than the public. The book draws on private letters, diaries, and statements from participants. This is the first book in The Hidden Hands of Wealth series.
