About this book

Brady Coyne, a Boston lawyer, travels from Cape Cod to rural Montana to recover stolen trophies in this mystery. Six years after a leopard attack ended his career as a professional hunter, Jeff Newton is severely injured and living in isolation on Cape Cod. Brady Coyne, his lawyer, visits the old man regularly. During one visit, Brady admires Jeff's collection of trophies, particularly seven Mexican leopard figurines made of solid gold with jeweled eyes. Thieves break into the house, attack both men, and steal the golden cats. Jeff falls into a coma while Brady survives with injuries. Determined to recover the priceless figurines, Brady pursues the thieves across the country, hoping to have the leopards waiting for Jeff if he ever regains consciousness.
