They Thirst

Prince Conrad Vulkan, an ancient Hungarian vampire, has taken residence in the Kronsteen castle, a gothic structure built during Hollywood's golden age and long abandoned after its owner's murder. From this base in Los Angeles, Vulkan executes his plan to replace humanity with vampires, beginning with the city's most vulnerable inhabitants. Each night, his victims multiply and his undead legion grows. As Los Angeles transforms into a necropolis, a group of vampire hunters mobilizes to stop him: a young boy seeking vengeance for his parents' deaths; a television star whose lover has supernatural connections; a dying priest called by God to defend the world; a female reporter investigating cemetery desecrations; and LAPD homicide detective Andy Palatazin. Palatazin, an immigrant who survived a vampire attack in his native Hungary during childhood and has spent decades hunting evil globally, understands that stopping Vulkan requires invading his nest—a mission he knows is likely suicide, but the only way to save the city and world from vampire domination.
