Those Across the River

Frank Nichols, a failed academic haunted by memories of the Great War, moves to the small Georgia town of Whitbrow with his wife. He intends to write a history of his family's former estate, the Savoyard Plantation, and the horrors that took place there. Initially, their new life appears ideal, marked by summer socials and small-town charm. However, beneath this pleasant surface lies an unspoken dread that has gripped the townspeople for generations—a presence that demands sacrifice. This presence originates from the shadowy woods across the river, where the ruins of the Savoyard Plantation remain standing. There, a long-standing debt of blood has never been forgotten, and it has been waiting for Frank Nichols.
