After a farmer left a bowl of wild turkey eggs on his front porch, Joe Hutto's life changed. He incubated the eggs and watched them hatch. Deep in Florida's Flatlands, Hutto spent two years living as a turkey mother to sixteen chicks. He roosted with them, took them foraging, and immersed himself in their world. Through this experience, the turkeys taught him to see the world through their eyes. The book tells the true story of a man with a gift for connecting with nature.
