When in Rome: A Novel

Amelia Rose, a pop star known as Rae Rose, is exhausted from years of maintaining her public image. Inspired by the film Roman Holiday, she drives to Rome, Kentucky for a break, where her car breaks down on Noah Walker's property. Noah, who runs a pie shop left to him by his grandmother, reluctantly allows her to stay in his guest room until her car is fixed. As Amelia stays in the small town, Noah discovers a different side of her—someone kindhearted and goofy, but lonely from her years in the spotlight. He begins to show her the charming experiences of small-town life, while she helps him open his heart to more. Though Amelia grows attached to both the town and Noah, her tour eventually calls her back to her glamorous life, forcing difficult choices about where she belongs.
