Whispers of Vivaldi (Tito Amato Series Book 6)

In Venice during 1745, Tito Amato, a male soprano whose singing voice has been damaged in an accident, seeks to establish himself as an opera director. When Teatro San Marco faces declining subscriptions due to competition, Maestro Torani asks Tito to find an opera that will attract audiences for Carnival. Tito discovers a work by a second-rate composer featuring exceptional melodies that lead the public to believe it was written by the late Antonio Vivaldi. The opera's lead role is to be sung by Angeletto, a male soprano brought from Naples, but rumors question whether Angeletto is truly a castrato or a woman performing in disguise for profit. When Maestro Torani is attacked and killed, Tito becomes the primary suspect. He must use his investigative abilities to clear his name and save the theater's future.
