Akamai State of the Internet: Q4 2015

This Q4 2015 report from Akamai Technologies presents data collected across Akamai's globally distributed Intelligent Platform. The report covers Internet connection speeds, broadband adoption metrics, and trends in these areas over time. It also includes analysis of IPv4 exhaustion and IPv6 adoption, Internet disruptions during the quarter, mobile browser usage patterns, and observations from Akamai partner Ericsson on data and voice traffic growth across mobile networks. Beginning with the Q1 2015 report, security-related content previously included in the State of the Internet Report has been moved to a separate State of the Internet / Security Report. That quarterly security publication covers cyberattack origins, tactics, types, and targets, along with quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year attack traffic trends and case studies on emerging cybersecurity issues.
