Volume 5 of The Aleister Crowley Collection contains six works spanning different periods of Crowley's career. The first section presents three complete poetry collections from 1898: Aceldama, The Tale of Archais, and Songs of the Spirit, which Crowley regarded as early work. The volume also includes two dramatic works: Jephthah and Household Gods. Jephthah is notable for being shown to W. B. Yeats, a fellow Golden Dawn member, whose criticism of the play led to a well-known rivalry between the two writers.
