Beautiful Geometry

Beautiful Geometry presents a visual history of geometry spanning 2,500 years. The book features more than sixty color plates illustrating geometric patterns and theorems, each accompanied by brief historical accounts of the ideas and figures behind them. Created through collaboration between Swiss artist Eugen Jost and math historian Eli Maor, the book covers subjects ranging from straightedge-and-compass constructions to configurations involving infinity. The work combines mathematics with visual art, presenting geometric concepts through illustrations designed to both explain and illuminate the mathematical principles. The book serves as an illustrated tour through the history of geometry, one of the major branches of mathematics.
