Conversations with McCartney

In June 1989, Paul McCartney's London office contacted Paul Du Noyer to conduct an interview. The two had met previously and established good rapport. Over the following decades, Du Noyer regularly met with and interviewed McCartney, producing magazine articles, tour programs, album liner notes, press materials, and website content. Du Noyer has spent more recorded interview hours with McCartney than any other writer. Conversations with McCartney draws from thirty-five years of interview sessions between the two men. The book combines McCartney's candid reflections with Du Noyer's observations and analysis, covering topics including songwriting, religion and spirituality, his relationship with Linda Eastman, the Beatles' breakup, and his life after the group.
