Learning Curves

Audrey Lind, a bright young teacher, returns to Northshire University to teach art. Working with clay reminds her of Dr. Michelle Thompson, her former professor whose passion for art history inspired Audrey's academic career. Audrey had harbored a crush on Michelle during her student years. When Audrey arrives, she finds Michelle transformed by divorce and career stagnation into a guarded, bitter version of her former self. Michelle initially resents Audrey, especially when Audrey is hired to teach the Women in Art class that Michelle has long advocated for. However, Audrey's kindness and enthusiasm gradually reawaken Michelle's passion for life. Both women are cautious about their age difference and the complications of workplace romance, so they suppress their attraction. A wine-filled evening at the pottery wheel tests their resolve, forcing them to decide whether to maintain professional boundaries or pursue a relationship.
