About this book

The Government introduced a revised tax structure for the Brick Kilns sector effective April 1, 2022. Under this structure, supplies of bricks, roofing tiles, and similar products are subject to a GST rate of 12% (with input tax credit) or 6% (without input tax credit). Key changes include: manufacturers and suppliers of these specified products are no longer eligible for the composition scheme. Additionally, the threshold limit for persons engaged in supplying these goods has been reduced from Rs. 40 Lakhs to Rs. 20 Lakhs.
