The Apple Tree (Sunday Morning)

Eve has recently graduated high school and works at the local motel while living at home. She spends her time spying on her neighbor Kyle and stealing apples from his orchard. Kyle is a single father and new football coach who needs a babysitter for his son. When he hires Eve, they discover an instant connection—she reminds him of himself. Kyle is cautious; Eve is the preacher's daughter and ten years younger than him, and his ex has already hurt him deeply. Eve begins asking Kyle to teach her things like driving his fishing boat and shooting his hunting bow. He agrees but insists on secrecy to avoid gossip. Their playful banter and innocent flirting eventually cross a line. Kyle fails to notice a heartbreaking secret Eve has been hiding. When tragedy strikes, both must determine whether they can find their way back to each other.
