About this book

Charles Jenkins, a former CIA case officer in his early sixties, faces financial strain as his security consulting business approaches bankruptcy. His former bureau chief arrives with a dangerous assignment: travel undercover to Moscow to find a Russian agent who is killing members of a covert US spy cell called the seven sisters. Desperate for money, Jenkins accepts the mission. In Moscow, he locates the mastermind behind the assassinations—known as the eighth sister—only to discover she is not what he expected. As he navigates this deadly game, Jenkins finds that nothing and no one are as they seem. Pursued by a determined Russian intelligence officer, Jenkins executes a daring escape across the Black Sea. However, he is then abandoned by the CIA. With his family and freedom in jeopardy, Jenkins finds himself fighting against the very agency he once served.
