This collection contains three science fiction novels by John Brunner, a Hugo Award-winning author known for his dystopian social commentary. Scientists within this society gradually develop technology to ensure their survival. The Jagged Orbit, also a Nebula Award Finalist, follows a journalist attempting to expose corruption at a mental hospital in a dystopian future. The society depicted has been destabilized by drug abuse, organized crime, and the brutal treatment of those labeled mentally ill.
