The Summer of Lost and Found

Jessica Fox, a Cincinnati news anchor recovering from cancer, takes a summer leave at her boss's suggestion. She stays at a cottage in the Kentucky mountains that belonged to his late grandmother, Mabel. In the small town of Lost and Found, Jessica initially resists the slower pace but gradually adjusts to the local community, scenic sunsets, and her neighbor Matt Cordray, the town's police chief. She becomes engaged with a treasure map left behind by Mabel that leads to a collection of lost items—mementos and love letters—that people have mailed to the town over the years. Jessica takes on the project of reuniting these items with the people who lost them. As the summer progresses, Jessica's involvement with the town and its residents becomes transformative, reconnecting her to life in unexpected ways.
