Dinosaur Tracks from Brazil is the first comprehensive study of dinosaurs in Brazil. The Rio do Peixe basins contain approximately 500 dinosaur trackways from the Cretaceous period, representing one of the world's largest trackway collections. Paleontologists Giuseppe Leonardi and Ismar de Souza Carvalho document and analyze tracks from 37 individual sites across approximately 96 stratigraphic levels. The book is richly illustrated and presents extensive data on the dinosaurs of the region. Leonardi and de Souza Carvalho reconstruct the taxonomic groups present in the area and describe how these dinosaurs moved across the alluvial fans, meandering rivers, and shallow lakes of ancient Gondwana.
