The Encore: A Novel

The Encore follows two interconnected stories set in the world of music. In 2003, pianist and singer Anna Buckley and composer Will Pendleton meet at Brookfield Conservatory in Boston, where a chance encounter develops into a deep friendship. As they pursue professional music careers, their bond strengthens, but a single night after graduation destroys their relationship. Twenty years later in New York, sixteen-year-old piano virtuoso Lottie Thomas attends an elite prep school while searching for answers about her birth mother. When Lottie uncovers the truth about her identity, the discovery reunites her with her birth parents and forces the three of them onto a rock tour bus for a cross-country journey. Confined together in these tight quarters, they must finally confront the irreversible choices that shaped their past.
